Pre & Post-Marriage Counselling: Process and Cost

Counselling Session and No of Sessions

What is the Number of Sessions a Person can have with Dr Khanna?

Dr Khanna works with each client to develop a customized treatment plan considering their circumstances. Whether it’s a short-term issue or a long-standing concern, the aim is to provide ongoing support for as long as necessary. Counselling is a time taking process. A person can visit offline in our Delhi premises with prior consultation only. Online Counselling sessions are usually via Zoom or Face time (only urgent) meetings. No consultation is available on WhatsApp or email. It requires 1-3, 3-5, 5-7 or 7-12 Consultations or more, depending upon Person to Person or Problem to Problem. A person has to make prior appointments to avoid clashes and disappointment.

What is the Process of Counselling?

Some concerns and expectations are bothering a person, so approach us. It is our job to address or resolve those concerns during consultations.

Sessions with Dr Khanna will be brainstorming, which would help a person to find the solution, introspect and retrospect their problems or life. A person must share with Dr Khanna what is bothering them in detail. After listening, Dr Nisha will guide a person to find the best solution.

Dr Nisha Khanna employs various counselling techniques during her consultations to help clients overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. These approaches are apt to each client’s unique needs. They may include CBT (Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy), Solution Focused, Client-Centred, DBT, REBT, EFT, Structural Approach, Systematic Approach, Psycho Dynamic Approach Etc. Dr Khanna helps clients develop coping skills, improve their relationships, and enhance their overall well-being by using these techniques. What is the Pre-marital, Marriage, and Family Counselling Appointment Sessions Process?

Counselling sessions could be individual consultations or couple consultations. Charges are similar in both scenarios. For most cases in Pre-marital, Marriage, and Family Counselling, we prefer to opt for Conjoint Consultations followed by individual sessions-equal chances given to both parties. We understand that some clients may prefer individual sessions due to discomfort sharing personal thoughts with their partner.

In a few cases, one partner denies counselling, or the concerned person doesn’t want to disclose the partner about the consultation session. Still, a person can approach us individually. We treat the other person as the “Sun”, who is unavailable for consultation, and the available person as the “Earth”, whose life is proportionally impacted by the other person’s behaviour, thoughts, energy, actions and decisions.

How to Schedule a Consultation with a Person in a Different Time Zone?

Online counselling is convenient and accessible. Online Consultations are highly recommendable for people having mobility issues, busing schedules or living far away.

If a person is in a different time zone and would like to schedule a consultation with Dr Khanna, they can do so by calling after making the payment. Once the request is received, Dr Khanna’s team will find a mutually convenient time for the consultation to make the process seamless and convenient for clients, regardless of location.
